Grassroots football meets the race track

Led by Alex Wallbank and Sienna Sprong, with the rest of the team at VCARB, we had one mission: virtually unveil VCARB’s special Barcelona Grand Prix livery.

With the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix taking place at the start of the FIFA World Cup, the livery is a nod from one sporting culture to another. Based around a football kit, to celebrate Barcelona’s football heritage and the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Sam Swanborough took the lead, drawing on “the visual language of football culture” to build a CGI environment that replicates a street football pitch. We then placed the car into the environment and created an animation and a series of stills that showcases the livery and the idea behind it, to be used across press, social media and local DOOH.
